This room has great acoustics
My grandmother had once said
She used to sing and play the piano
And then she went to bed

We stayed up late that night
Singing song and watching the rain
Why was the rain there?
There were no self-afflicting wounds
There was no sign of pain

After that we ate and laughed
We laughed until we cried
Sitting around the table drinking coffee
Suddenly I saw Grandma on the stairs
In a heavenly white nightown
Smiling at me

I told everyone that Grandma was up
But it was I everyone seemed to ignore
They didn't even take a passing glance
And I knew I was no more

Now I could see my halo
And let out a relentless sigh
Grandma left this Earth five years ago
Welcoming me to heaven
To let me know I've died

    thanks
It was a dream, not a nightmare. A beautiful dream I could never imagined in a thousand nods. I saw this girl next to me, she wasn't beautiful until she smiled. And I felt that smile come at me in heat waves following. Soaking through my body and out my finger tips in shafts of color. And I knew somewhere in the world, somewhere, that there was love for me.
