Rain Dancer

Crazy lady dancing in the rain
Stomping out all that pain
Her in a red dress
Moving through patches of bouncing neon
To damp thick night then back to light
Hands raised to the storming sky above
Twisting her body around, lifting raindrops as she steps
I watch this soak-en angel, this vision of motion
Under a canopy across the street
I have seen her on this very street and others like this one
A woman for sale, giving up to get ahead
I never really saw her before tonight though
All wet and wonderful
Splashing through rippling puddles
Two black tears running down her cheek
As the rain starts to reveal a younger face
She shakes, turns, twirls letting the water cleanse her soul
She stops for nothing
as the flowing gutters wash it all away

R.L.G.
You know you are in trouble when you start to buy your own bullshit.
