the heat envelopes her
drying out her thoughts
she walks alone
and the warm west wind tickles her body
she does not like this time of year
and wishes she was somewhere cool
at night she sleeps atop the sheets
allowing any breeze blowing through the open window to caress her skin
she tosses and turns, and not just from the heat
she can barely function as it is
and this weather tests her mettle further
the ehat envelopes her
drying out her life
she remains alone
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
