how to kill a friendship that you were faking anyway

she said, its been too long
and you agreed
you said you missed her voice
but then you didnt call like you said you would
she waited, perhaps foolishly
and has happened before, as you well know
her mind went to the worst possible scenario
twas then she realised
all the time spent on your defense was ill placed
you dont care though you pretend you do
and finally your indifference has rubbed off on her cause now
she dont care and she wont ever pretend to
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
