the sun rises on another day
comatose, she lays tangled in pristine sheets
the radio alarm comes on
and goes off
she doesnt wake
the sun rises slowly
and her head does the same
she looks across blurry eyed at the calender
notes a date ringed in red
she sighs and reaches for last nights glass still half full
she drains it in one gulp and decides
this is not the day to wallow
this is not the day for this self hatred
this is not the day to remember hes not here
this is the moment to face the first day of the rest of her life
comatose, she lays tangled in pristine sheets
the radio alarm comes on
and goes off
she doesnt wake
the sun rises slowly
and her head does the same
she looks across blurry eyed at the calender
notes a date ringed in red
she sighs and reaches for last nights glass still half full
she drains it in one gulp and decides
this is not the day to wallow
this is not the day for this self hatred
this is not the day to remember hes not here
this is the moment to face the first day of the rest of her life
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

You gave me goosebumps, strangely familiar this morning being its my bday today. I would love to share a poem with you.
Its my favorite by Andre Breton...
Korwar
You hold on like no other
You were caught as you came out of life
To re-enter it
I don't know if its in one direction or in another that you shake the garden gate
You have raised up to your heart the serpentine grass
And forever curled the birds of paradise in the hoarse sky
Your gaze is clairvoyant
You are seated
And we too are seated
The skull for a few more days
In the dip of our features
All our acts before us
At arm's length
In the little ones' vine tendril
You are feeding us a line oif on existenialism
There are no flies on you
