after so long
im not quite sure if my judgement is the best thing
a friend said to me he hopes that your presence
brings me happiness but still warned me to be cautious
and i choked on his words remembering
when you turned and left me standing and he did the same
how could he even think i could raise a smile
you leaving never did make sense back then
and its something we need to speak of
i need to know why
to get things straight in my head
why you’ve come back, but moreso why now
from the little weve spoken
you seem to be stuck in the same place
that buried you deep in the cold snow
im weary and tired and quite frankly, not thinking clearly
