dunno if they'd let you pay for 10-20
i dont see why they wouldn't
but i wonder if they raise the price of membership if you'd have to pay the difference, or would you be locked in for the price of membership when you paid?
Get it now, get enough, before its gone, let's everybody carry on, carry on....

I agree with this. And therefore I would rather have to buy one every year than having the possibility of having scalpers have a permanent member number.

It doesn't seem as if they would waste too much time with 10Club tickets. The restrictions seem quite limiting.
For example on the Eddie solo tour I think you have to pick up your ticket and go directly in. A scalper could sell one of the two tickets per show but I can't think the time wasted making that connection would be worth it?
Perhaps I'm way off. Anyone?
Nope.. that would suck. If you have a high number you dont want everyone locking in. You want the slackers to get to busy or fall on hard times. Even if you have a great number it can get better as people let their membership lapse.
Seniority is one thing... but don't take away the only method of advancement with lifetime memberships. At that point i might as well pack it in.
edit: woo hoo 1000th !!!!
been a member since 96' and don't want to lose my ten club number!
You're right about tickets. But scalpers aren't just after tickets. Vinyls, posters, towels, you name it... It's all been scalped. 10C membership is worth much more than a ticket. Having a low number only helps for tickets though, but any member with any number could have bought any of the aforementioned items and scalped em.
A) you die unexpectedly (though i guess you wouldnt need the money then anyway)
the band breaks up before your membership is up (i doubt youd get a refund of the difference)
but if i could lock in the current member price it might be worth the risk to do it for like 5 years or so... im usually pretty good about remembering every year tho
