clutching at boughs trying not to drown
she falls and floats away downstream
flowers weaved among her tresses
sad eyes stare into a oblivion
wondering why no one cares
wondering why she even gives a damn
she wants to go quietly but her mind screams out
but she can't silence all the words
an unseen disruption pulls her under
embraced by a life that ends her own
petals mark her resting place.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
