as you sit there on the beach
i wonder what youre thinking
watching the waves break at your feet
and retreat taking with them grains of the sand
like the minutes of your life wasted
little by little until you sit alone...
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

    ...as the sun disappears behind the trees
    and the shadows get longer you realise
    that what you had is slipping away
    cause you dont know what it is you want
    or you do, but you waited too long
    and now little by little you find yourself alone.
