he held the pregnant moon in his hands just to see her face more clearly
when she looked up and smiled at him his night turned to day and he was gone
she reached out and touched her hand to his skin and he forgot everything he knew
his mind danced and his heart fell and regained its purchase and then he remembered
twas she that was the full moon in his sky, the stars that lit his night
she was the axis his world revolved upon
he released the moon and simply fell into her
she took him to her and for the briefest of moments he thought his world held still.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
