the coolest boy she ever knew was so fucked up
and he never knew just where he started and where he ended
she saw him in the clubs where everyone took all the same drugs
dancing all the same moves and looking like replicants
and no one quite knew how to breathe
they were all there just to be seen
that's why she was there too
she watched from a distance, didn't want to get involved
but he had other plans
when they got to his place all his music she found was on vinyl
he spun the black circles and she just spun out
in the morning when she woke, he was still dead to the world
she snuck back to her place but still he found her
handed her a posy as they walked hand in hand among the headstones
now every week she lays those flowers on his grave
