i swear to jesus christ i never thought this would happen
i swear when we started i thought it would all work out
guess i didn't count on you looking elsewhere for your fun
guess i didn't count on a lot of things going away
remember when you said all those things you did
was that just so you could get your way
was there nothing you said to me that you meant
well look where we are today, the shoe is on the other foot and i'm fine
you're standing there, your bottom lip hitting the ground
and inside all i can do is laugh at your supposed indignation
double standards are a bitch aren't they
thinking you could do what you did and not have me do it too
how could you have taken me so much for granted
i swear to jesus christ i never meant for this to happen
i swear when we started i thought it would all work out
turns out i guess i shouldn't have sworn so much when it came to having faith in you.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

Sometimes you think it's they, that make you tick,
The oil for your engine, they keep you slick,
Yet when bad truths become found out,
It leaves you really in no doubt,
That some pricks you're better off without.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

you know what it is jamie? it's knowing not that the other person completes you or makes you tick or keeps your engine slick or whatever. it's that they make you feel like a better person when they're around. that just the thought of them makes you smile. and that smile fills your lungs with good air. but if they give you nothing and expect you to still be bouyant, then what have you got. i don't want to cruise anymore. i want to fly.
