As my mind wanders through its own self
It stops and wonders why
It questions everything it sees
And all that I deny
I’m trying so hard to keep control
And not lose myself to it
To anything that kills my soul
And all that is within.
I smile at the thoughts and feel
Tenfold everything that I give out
I know that when the time is right
My self will be one half
Of something else that’s nowhere found
And all that’s between the two
But for now
My mind it wanders
Questioning all there is for you
It sees, it feels, it sighs, it cries
And still yet it wonders
Where nowhere is and
Certainly if ever it will be near.
