i'm in over my head this time
never thought i'd fall so far
to reach out and touch you
run my fingers down your spine
to know that you'll be there
anytime i need you to be

it's been such a long time
since i let anyone as close
as i let you
we inched in ever decreasing circles
til i decided to let my heart
rule over my head
you were there to tempt me
to help me lose control
but still to be myself
to fall in over my head
you reached out to touch me
my heart leapt
like it's never been loved before
your fingers on my skin
was like a thousand points of lights
i stand in front of you
my heart my soul
stripped bare
naked as the day i first drew breath
you knew that you had me
and would for as long as you could see
cause now i need you all the time
i'm in over my head
never thought i'd fall so far so hard

It's really not so awful to need someone.
It's really okay.
It won't hurt you.
