streetlight through muslin
dancing gently in the breeze
throwing shapes on the wall
the sound of rain on the roof
gurgles down the spout
distant hum of rubber on wet asphalt
not tired
just resting
12:23 am
friday morning
the sound of his voice
the drums
the bass
the searing guitar
the music wins
takes over
draws me in
a lit candle
a little incense
head resting
eyes closed
drums/guitar
intolerance
sleep
waking up
candlelit room
still
the music gone
the sandlewood smell of discarded ashes
the rain still on the roof
whoosh
the candle flame blown
on/off
sleep
alarm
sunrise.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
