dearly beloved
we're gathered here today
to lay my eternal soul to rest
to satiate any guilt you're feeling
but it ain't gonna happen
burn me on a funeral pyre
box me
bury me
i don't care
it's not that i'll never return
cause i'm never leaving
i remain in your thoughts
hopefully until you lay where i do
i don't know why
you are all here today
cause you never were there
while i breathed
when i needed you the most
you never paid me any attention
now i'm gone
i just need a place to lay
no tears nor
anecdotes to jolt a memory
that bite you for remembering
heads close together in confidence
hushed silences
pieces that fell
and didn't quite fit back complete
now i'll bide your time
lay me on a funeral pyre
burn me
box me
bury me
just don't ever forget me.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

    thank u
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
