Milwaukee Show - Beware tickets from other sites

Friend of mine paid a lot of money from a different site for tickets - the tickets look legit but I'm not sure what this means on the riverside website- anyone else in the same situation? The riverside website is posting this: Is this a common practice there?

This event is sold out.
Beware - any tickets offered on any other website are not valid and will not be honored on show night. We do not allow scalping - if you buy these tickets to resell them for over face value, your tickets will be taken back and sold to real music fans. we believe in keeping the concert experience pure.

    Kudos to them for wanting to keep it pure.....but I think they have no way of keeping tabs on tickets out there.

    Do you think they can look up seat locations and void the tickets?

    I believe this may be more of a "scalper beware" scare tactic...don't think they have a real good way of enforcing this but if it wards off some of them it's a good thing.

    yeah I know this happened at a Tom Petty show a few years back - people didn't get in.........that's why I'm worried.

    I can see it happening on some tickets but not all. It would scare me away for sure so I think it is working.

    Most sites don't list specific seat locations, only section and row, not seat numbers. So there is no way for them to police this. It is only a scare tactic, I wouldn't worry about it. Also if you are still looking for tickets to this show here are some I found for under face value, so go get them. Face value for a pair is $186.00.
