she wonders what he is thinking
and whether her strength will be enough.
does he know that he can lean on her
that her intentions are pure
and that she should never be doubted

she wonders about his feelings
and how he reconciles them with duty
does he know that she understands
that she has been there herself
and he will get through all his doubt as she did.

she fears she could lose him to another
one she can not compete with
how could she, yet why should she?
afterall it's not a competition
all the trust she has in him is her test
for reciprocal love, for honour and for his emancipation.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
