he told me she came to him cryin’
said she didn’t want it to end
my heart stopped
and a cold shiver ran through me
i thought of how much trust I have in him
and how much is out of my control
when she left his room he locked the door behind her
i wondered if this was a chapter of his life he had finished
i find it hard to believe he feels absolutely nothing for her
she is the mother of his child, a part of his life for so long
my deepest thought i can't share
too disrespectful to see the light of day
i keep it inside as it eats away at my soul
would he understand or take it as an insult
he told me he could be the most passionate man, but
give him reason and he can be a cold dead heart
