she comes at night
and leaves when the day breaks
he knows he feels her
but he never sees
her touch so light
like butterflies
he wishes she could stay
forever
she wishes too, but
knows she can't
still he will take her
any way she is willing
to give to him her soul
his mind hovers
a hummingbird gathering nectar
she is his
inside his being
she comes from the darkness
the light
it hurts her eyes
she descends upon him
and then
she is gone
to where he can't follow
