another thought

once upon a time never
ends with happily ever after
not in my world
and for that im thankful
just means im not deluded
and everything that comes my way
is expected and rarely ever rejected
what would be the point of that
too much thought and not enough action
never gets anything done and always leaves things unresolved
i cant believe some of the shit sometimes
but i take it all
and build my armour to repel the fools
and all those who think they know better
once upon a time never ended in happily ever after
and tis only in fairy tales that the prince is ever charming
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

    you know anne marie, i just came up with that this minute when i read the title of your thread "once upon a time". and plus watching the oscars last night and being subjected to the trio of nauseating songs from enchanted and feeling overwhelmingly thrilled that glenn hansard won and knowing eddie vedder should have absolutely been nominated for his, to me, sublime work on into the wild.

    I hated the message of enchanted.

    I think Princes are way over-rated. Nice, real hot men are better any day! :)

    oh i agree. an antiquated hereditary system with no visible advantages except for those in 'the family'. and though princes are over rated, PRINCE certainly is not. ;):D

    and please... am i the only one who doesnt think patrick dempsey is hot?

    Oh, I think he's kind of cute, but I hated the way this movie made it seem like "things will just magically work out."

    It's more of the garbage that's been fed to people by Disney for a long time. What's wrong with having to put effort in to find and get what you want? Why make it seem like life has to be easy or there's something wrong. It bugs the hell outta mean the way people are mis-trained this way!!!!

    disney is evil. everybody knows this. ;):) they make every little girl think they're a fairy tale princess, and that their heart's desire is for a prince to come riding by on his trusty steed to rescue them and make their life somehow complete. total utter bollocks. disney is evil. did i mention that? :D
