i looked both ways
but still i was blindsided
i thought i knew
turns out i was wrong
i thought i could handle
whatever came my way
turns out i was mistaken
keeping perspective when rationality disappears
when perspective is through a tunnel of love
running on instinct alone can have you ending up alone
i thought i could do without it
but those instincts failed me.
he didn't want me
he never did.
i was just another plaything
a ball of plasticine to mould
to be stretched as a far as i could go
i should have see it coming
but i didn't
i was blinded
i looked both ways
perhaps next time
i'll keep both eyes open.

Man I know what it means to be blindsided. Next time, if I let there be a next time, I will not let myself get blindsided again. The only thing I think a person can do is learn from past mistakes and move forward. It took me awhile but thats what I choose to do, I not going to hurt or be hurt any longer. There was life before her there will be life after her, no matter what she tells everyone about me she knows how it really was. If she truely feels the way she tells me then we were never meant to be in the first place.
