the spirit they had in '68
is the spirit we need to
rise above today
the dull rhythm of
a thousand days
in out round a bout
the shape of things to come
and the shape that things are now
every waking hour
plugged into the rat race
you can't ever win
it's not in their plan
dead love frozen senses
thoughts arrive, caught
tossed away
it doesn't matter
your life on a carousel horse
taking up your time
and nothing in return.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

Pretty And to go with Matellica: You know it's sad but true.

I can relate. all though over the years I've become a bite sceptic about that whole '60 thing. Free love was just another party for the hippie's to ruin.
Awareness was fashoinable. But let us stand up agaist the rat race.
    thank u yet again.

You’re on the outside, never bound by such a spell.
Together in the darkness, alone in the light.
I took it upon me to be yours, Timmy,
I’ll lead your angels and demons at play tonight......»

'68 was totally not about the hippies.
i was more thinking about paris amongst other things.

OK that was what I read into it.
Not that the '60 aren't a great myth.

    Anyway nice poem.
