my heart beats
in time
with the sun's
pass through the sky
sunken it disappears
behind the mountains
i see your chest
rise with the moon
each passing hour
grateful for your breath?
another day
another day
if you stop
before i wake
will it be grace
or sweet relief
the tear i shed
will be for
your freedom
or mine
will you have won
will i have won
or both been defeated

hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
