catefrances

i want a man
to hold my standard
to fight the lion
to fill this armour

i want a man
who's bound with strength
who knows his limits
and loves to dance

i don't want ego
or him to underestimate me
i simply want him
to shut the gate

i want a man
who's not my equal
but who will stand by my side
and make me whole

i want a man
to understand me
to guide me gently
and give me room

i want a man
to be my knight
to be my king
and simply, just to be my mate.

it's not the style of writing that usually appeals to me (too straightforward maybe, and quite a few clichés in it too)
It's just a matter of personal preference, but there are many diverse styles in this forum, so there's something for eyerone.

I still want a man like that though.
