i found this one in my blue notebook. from my vague memory i think i wrote this in the darkness of a cinema whilst watching some movie that i won't name.


the sunshine falls
through the window
in squares on the linoleum
my heart it aches
and then it breaks
the flowers they bloom
in the night and
it's like i've lost you
all over again
to lose hope i must
surrender to the poison
the honey drips
from the counter
the flies lick up the goodness
my head resting against the formica table
i can't move
i am numb
i watch
the sink full of dirty dishes
and past regrets
the silence in the house deafening
you've gone and
i want to leave this place too.
so much death
and
so much life
i get pulled in both directions
there is no grace left within my heart
no will to want to stay
i can't breath
i want them both
i can't seem to quiet either
what do i want the most?
i see you
i see you everywhere
and yet you are...
...nowhere.
