he'll let her paint his toenails black
she'll trace her heart outline on his

he'll be the star that lights her way
she'll draw the breath right out of him

she'll love him with everything she has
he'll ask no more of her

she'll sometimes be not so sure of things
he'll catch her when she falls

she'll spread her faith and trust in him
he'll burn upon her funeral pyre

they'll join their hands and learn to fly
and be each other's reason to believe.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

    painting the toes black is some such imagery..

    but my favorite part is..

    Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
    As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
    And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
    He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
    What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
    Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
    And his tears fall and burn the garden green
