november rain

she wills him to come back to her
she went looking for something
now she pays for it hourly
she aches and longs for
it to be like it was before
his heart falters, fractured
her lack of honour leaves him hollow
and she can't take the pain away
what to do. what to say
a betrayal he feels
she struggles to explain
for the first time her words fail
his trust no longer there
if she could take it all back,
would she?
or
would she
destroy all they had by wanting more?
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
