i thought that i was over
all this adolescent crap
i thought when you got to my age
it was the time to just relax
but things have happened lately
that are driving me insane
i've met someone who's my equal
and my mind's not been the same
time to be a grown up
well what the hell does that mean anyway?
i've learnt that age is nothing
when feelings get in the way
i'm holding on for a bumpy ride
i'll scream and curse and cry
and when this rollercoaster slows to a halt
the angst will all be worth it
cause you'll be by my side.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

    You're right
it's not so much age that counts, it's age difference...
I still have feelings for this girl (she's 16) but it just won't work out :(

Have you ever read Erasmus' "Laus Stultitiae" (praise of foolishness, treely translated)
Has a few chapters about this subject, love, and age along with it

By the way, isn't it "irrelevant"?
Or is it poetic freedom? :)

which reminds me, where's our favourite spelling nazi? Pasta?
