friday afternoon cobwebs

brokered like a piece of meat
stay away, don't you come near
she's all for me
i am all she needs
what is it you think you can offer?
when all she wants is peace

be still her mind
don't jump too quick
deny their actions,
their words
no, wait. think.

what is it that she needs the most?
people with whom she can feel trust
she needs to talk
not to be judged
she feels she's losing it all.
and, for what?
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
