final thought(?)

this afternoon i sit here
the fog is lifting clear
though it hasn't totally gone away
and my eyes have dried their tears
i'm trying hard to get it straight
but emotion gets in the way
i know what it is you're asking
and i'm doing my best to chill
but you know that just won't cut it
cause i have to say what's on my mind
you have to know what's going on inside
just as i must know what's happening with you
it's difficult for me to comprehend
but i'm getting there, believe me
i'm so far out on a broken limb
and from this height the fall is far
i think everything i've said
and all the words i've writ
are just about all i have to say
but i can feel i'm not done just yet.

take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

    Very heartfelt. I like, I like.
