can i forgive the boy who shot me in the head?
if i didn't die then yes, i believe i could
could i forgive the boy who shoots an arrow through my heart
if the bleeding didn't stop and the wound could never heal, then no, i don't believe i could
my strength would weaken and my resolve would waste away
my best intentions would amount to so much disappointment
my soul would die from trying to be rational
my lungs would collapse as if made of dust
the tears i cry would drown us all
and no one's breath could revive my life
can i forgive the boy who shot me in the head
depends how good a shot he is.
