this black box
he hides inside
in total darkness -
a prison.
shameful
it pulls at him
difficult to resist
every day
a little more,
in his stillest moments
it takes hold.
he struggles
disgusted with himself
he prays for guidance
for the strength
not within.
every thought
a betrayal
he is alone.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
