love is loss

she cries at night where no one sees
the darkness envelopes her very being
she wonders if this will ever stop
or will this feeling drain her whole
she never was much of a smiler
but now there's no way
you could prise one out of her
she thinks of all the time they shared
that now lies ruined upon a wooden chair
beside her bed it stands and holds
the books she reads and an incense stick
she thinks of him every time she lights it
no matter how hard she tries
he's almost always stuck inside her mind
if she were honest she'd admit this gift of grief
was something that she felt she needs
at least with him gone she's still feeling something
though it's not love cause that lies dying
he broke it when he walked away
perhaps he was scared
she knows he'll never say
so when you see her, wait,
let her come to you
her loss still aches deep in her bones
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

  • why are you so down cate? i don't want you to be so down...
"this one, anytime I say love if you wanna say love, uh, say it, and if you say it you might as well say it loud, and if you don't feel like sayin' it, don't say it, but if you feel it, certainly say it..."

NOTE: Everything I write in the P,P&M section are intended to be songs, not poetry.
