i walk among stone markers
dates of birth and expiration
carved to last forever
someone's father
someone's mother
someone's child
someone's lover

it's so quiet here
cause the dead don't talk
well...
maybe sometimes they do

i come here for you
to get my head together
i come here for peace
to live my life for longer

i lay a flower on your grave
and kiss your sandstone pillow
i play your favourite tunes
sing your favourite songs
and as the sun passes overhead
tell you stories about people we know

it never gets any easier
i still miss you in the heart of night
the days go by just as slow
what my future holds i don't pretend to know

i walk among the stone markers
dates of birth and expiration
carved not to forget forever
someone's father
someone's mother
someone's baby
my lover.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

"This is where the tears would be if I could cry, but I can't, botched facelift..."

Lovely... more stuff of this quality please cate.
"this one, anytime I say love if you wanna say love, uh, say it, and if you say it you might as well say it loud, and if you don't feel like sayin' it, don't say it, but if you feel it, certainly say it..."

NOTE: Everything I write in the P,P&M section are intended to be songs, not poetry.
