she feels discarded, disavowed
like yesterday's newspaper
she doesn't know
what the fuck happened
an innocent comment
and all hell broke loose
he attacked her with such venom
she could feel the bitemark on her skin
nothing she said seemed to make a difference
he just wouldn't listen
or was unable to
threats were thrown
and recieved in kind
stupid words and
the worst timing
she needs a break
and so does he.
she can be strong for him
but she can't withstand an assault like that
she shouldn't have to
and she won't
not for him
not for anyone
no words left for her to say
she'll leave him be
and write off what turned
out to be an extremly bad day.
