ive been thinking
wondering
if its time to let you go
to drift away upon the tide
and thank you for all ive known
you once meant the world to me
and that i'll not forget
but you cant give me what i want,
what i need and thats my regret
i know you never could
but that doesnt change the way i felt
or the way im feeling now
as the time has come to stop
i'll take my leave with a respectful bow
i often wonder what you think
and what it is you feel
youve long since stopped at telling me
and i thought perhaps it was to heal
to walk away and not look back
to focus on the present
but you know as well as i do i cant ever say forever
but still i try to take my leave
with that respectful bow
