she cuts her ties
says her goodbyes
sets all her ducks in a row
she's run out of reasons
her blood so diseased
she needs to die just to grow
no pictures no words
it's all gone to hell
there's no way she's ever coming back
her life's a lie
a slow motion ride
an unguarded self open for attack
so slowly surely no return
she understands what is needed to be done
she stands alone at the end of a race she never could have won.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
