when i was quite young i used to think
that where the sun broke through the clouds was heaven
as i grew older i came to realise
that all it was was the sun breaking through the clouds
now im old enough to watch my children grow
i wish i was the young child again
innocence before truth may well be truth itself
and the wonderment of those days
leaves me drifting alone on summer days
waiting for that southerly to blow in
and for that scorched earth to be drenched by late afternoon rain
a green sky filled with hail clouds
hmmm... when i was quite young...
... yes... thats what i wish to be now.

hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me

this is what we need to remember as we get older. it seems that for every truth discovered by science, a small part of the human imagination dies. we have to hold on to the inner Peter Pan, I guess.
"By nine he had deciphered the illusion, trading magic for fact
No trade-backs...
So this is what it's like to be an adult
If he only knew now what he knew then..."
