Hey- did anyone from the San Diego show get a crappy t-shirt? Night 2, I got a shirt on the way out and didn't really bother to look at it until I got home, unfortunately. All it has is a tag that says XL and 'Made in Turkey'. The fabric is about as thin as the hanky my Dad has used for the past 20 years!!!

Just wondering if anyone else got the same thing... maybe because it was the last show and they were scraping the barrel?

nope, they were all paper thin...which my californian friends thought was good considering the heat there...the Canadians on the other hand...

Maybe you should have bought the tank. It's made by Anvil, assembled in Nicaragua of USA fabric, and it kicks ass.

I love the tank and thought the other shirt was essentially a shirt I already had. Glad I bought it!!

Yeah, the fabric is pretty thin. We'll probably get one wash out of it.

That's how some of the Chicago shirts were last year.

Same as this year....they weren't ALL like that.

The "We come in peace" shirts and the green Lolla shirts are really thin.

The PJ Superman shirt is a regular quality T.

Lesson? In June...Don't forget to touch the shirts before buying.

I think PJ is going for the soft/vintage fit feel. American Apparel kind of shirts, that are supposed to be very soft, thin, and more slim fitting than your average shirts. A lot of bands have been switching over to using American Apparel for their shirts. PJ dosent use them, but everything they get made seems to be made in the same style.

I personally love it, but then again I wear a guys small and like my clothes tighter and really love the thin vintage feel. Now if only the damn goods section would carry size small in mens! They always have small on tour, but never in goods.

but your dads hanky has lasted him 20 years...

    Esther's here and she's sick?

hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks
  • The change in T-shirts started on the VFC tour in '04. I don't take issue with the band for it...seems to be the way all tour shirts are heading. Thin, crappy stiching, etc. The last tour with nice, cotton shirts was the Riot Act tour.
I'm pretty sure they list the type of sizing on some of the shirts in the "goods" section. I definately will be checking before I buy any at the 2008 shows.

This has been a topic since '04. It always turns into a "stop whining thread".

Nice haul! The key-chain is pretty rockin'. Is that something for sale at the merch stand, or something you picked up in the parking lot?

Not really whining- I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one. I did see someone else's shirt that had a real 'made in USA cotton' tag- so maybe they had both and just sold the good ones first?

The shirts have a tag near the waist that say that they're 70% bamboo and 30% organic cotton. That is why they are thin.

    The shirts are "sustainable."

Just checked the shirts I got.

The shirt I got from Santa Barbara, the Ed's Men Tour one, just say's: Made In Turkey.

    LA1, I bought 2 shirts. Another Ed's Men Tour Shirt & Ed's Muscle shirt.
The Ed's Men Tour shirt this time is Made In USA, 100% organic cotton. The Muscle Shirt is an Anvil brand, 100% cotton. Assembled in Nicaragua of USA Fabric.

wow, that's a lot of merch.

I also bought doubles of these. They went to a few close friends! ;)

Oh...sorry. I didn't mean to imply that YOU were whining. It's just that everytime someone makes a mention that the shirts are a bit thin or tight, some numb-nuts will always start "defending" the shirts, as if the band sat home and stiched the things themselves. Can't say anything around these parts that isn't blind praise, ya' know.
