Poem to a Spider

Woe to you oh wretched spider
Hanging there so still and free
Each day you grow thinner and thinner
And each day I ask can’t you see
That your haunt is a terrible spot for dinner
It is something quite obvious to me
That little food goes to the ceiling of my shower
And will cause you to pass quite needlessly
Hanging there so still and free
Each day you grow thinner and thinner
And each day I ask can’t you see
That your haunt is a terrible spot for dinner
It is something quite obvious to me
That little food goes to the ceiling of my shower
And will cause you to pass quite needlessly
Jimmy Carter has disco fever.

would that I could feed you there
catch you flies and place them so
you could be my good love charm
an intimacy shared
i scolded it when it drowned, lol
"silly spider, spiggots are for ids"
Jumping Spider
My jumping Spiders' on patrol
Keeping bugs in check
Ants, Gnats, Flies and Termites
who invade the house to wreck
My Jumping Spider loves the light
unlike her Arachnid kind
Never spins and abandons homes
in corners that you find
In and out of Sunbeams
always on alert
From top of kitchen table chair
to plant pots full of dirt
A Jumping Spider works for you
Insects you will lack
Give her space to roam and hunt
She'll always watch your back

YAWN... tumbleweeds everywhere...
Pasta, You know I need some tumbleweeds here.
I would love to have one during a boring meeting. So when it all goes silent, I can roll one across the room.
i'll keep my eye open for a good one
