Hello Poets.

I am not one of you. So I need help!

Here is the story. I am trying to create snazzy invitations for a party at my new house I recently bought. Except the party will be September 11th. Not the best of days. But the it still will be a day to celebrate. Why? Because I am celebrating all the hard work many people have put into the house over the past few weeks but we will also be celebrating my fiancee's 30th b-day. So it is a big deal all the way around. This is what I got so far:

Well the house might not be completely done,
But with you there we will have guarenteed fun,
Not just to celebrate our first house,
but to also celebrate Michelle's (this is as far as I got)

Real Corny so far, but that is why I am CALLING ALL POETS!

PLEASE HELP! Thank you in advance.

    Michelle's turning thirty.
Working on this house...I've gotten dirty.
    The home is not finished,
but in a few more minutes...
we'll be having a party with all of us in it.
    (Yeah, it's on "that day,"
but let's remember "this day," ...in a new way!)
Please, stop by for some fun,
to celebrate our new home and Michelle's 30th birthday!
    Reply to say,
you'll stop by for two parties in one!

    The part with:
    (Yeah, it's on "that day,"
but let's remember "this day," ...in a new way!)
can be left out, but if you leave it in...that's where I would put it...just remove the parentheses if you leave it in.
Good luck with the party! If you like the poem, you can have it. :)

I've got a thread of poetry starting with one about a nun, somewhere on this forum.. I'll have to see if I can find it.. :D
  • Any other people wanna give this a shot?
  • I once saw drama
    over Ardragh
    and Gweedore galore
    hearty partying

    a UFO
    Donegal saucer
    on the beach

    each thought I had
    was mad enough
    to make me think
    in drink
    it had come
    from its cyberhome
    Ballycroy
    Mayo
