Soul Desert

I've been livin in a Soul Desert
where the water is sparse
shade is nonexistent
love is gone

The sand keeps me movin
and the temptatous sun keeps me groovin
those enebriating parties are all night
while daylight is slept away in fright

I've been livin in a Soul Desert
where the water is sparse
shade is nonexistent
life is ignited

No tide to concern me
no blossoms to disarm me
no fruit to tempt me
just that sun bronzing me
bleaching away past loves
drying up the rivers of my eyes

no chance of growing a garden here
the sand is in constant change
nothing can take root
suits me just fine

I've been livin in a Soul Desert
where the water is sparse
shade is nonexistent
I am free, safe, and alone

  • "Love is Gone".. I love that line..great poem
It doesnt hurt.... when I bleed
    but memories...they eat me
    I've seen it all before,...
bring it on cause I'm no victim.

    I liked this poem !
To worry about tomorrow doesn't make it easier,
    it only makes today worse.
