Delight in the undertaking
A pinned survival
Skipping up a mountainside
A firefly’s delight

Barely a riddle has concave features
Which spin and pull and draw you in
To the spectacle of air
Surrounding you
Inside you
Beneath you

An imaginary chair
Waiting to beseat you
Comfort in a dizzy woebegotten state

Staring into the chestnut fire
Folklore and amber memories
Alight only when prodded by distinction

Back to the days
Of cold slate cave homes
And confusion before the gods
Came to riddle us with more
Misunderstanding

We used to fight for tangibles
Now for nonsense
Nothing has evolved
Despite Darwins discoveries

A sliver of that intrepid moon
Again
It catapults me into this dreamy phase
Of stalkers united for
My meager whisper of a life
Kept so soft and flighty
So that I may
Transcend at ANY time!
"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to eachother." Mother Theresa

I was tempted to say, why don't you post on here more often, but reading this considered, rounded and realised poem, I do see that taking time to perfect a piece of work is worth the reader's wait! :)
  • Well there is a breath of fresh air, well done. Excellent cadence, stellar images, fun for the whole family.
  • Sounds like we read the same books! :D
