a happy song (for you)

would it make things uncomfortable
if I said
"you are the glare that blinds my eyes but I can't stop looking at"?

would you look sheepishly at the floor
if I told you that you are the only person that has ever meant anything to me?

would you cry a little tear
if I mentioned that I still keep your picture in my wallet after all this time?

would you touch my arm, then wrap your arms around me
if I whispered that since you've been gone, nothing has been quite right with me?

would you love me again if I said all of those things?
what if you were sure I meant them...?
The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.
