walking slowly out
guitar strap's sliding down
music can find meaning
for all this shit I'm feeling

melodramatic tears are falling
off of your chin to the ground
"get out of here, you're stalling"
that made you yell so loud

perfect days are coming
been in a rut for too long
I no longer hear you crying
over the sound of you lying

and I don't need to drink to feel
I've got to keep my mind clear
and I know you'll never get it
it just clouds what is real
The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.

I write down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook. But in the long tresses of your hair--I am a babbling brook.
