I feel a little bit better today.
I had a dream about a medicine cabinet
door swinging wide.

"The fallout will be devastating,"
the gathering naysayers say.
But I don't believe a word of it--
I feel a little better today.
The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.

I write down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook. But in the long tresses of your hair--I am a babbling brook.

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all your Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all your Tears wash out a Word of it

    Haha...hmmm :) that was cute.

But yes, small, simple poems can be the best
one of my faves is "The Drinking Song" by WB. Yeats

'wine goes in at the mouth
and love comes in at the eye
I lift my glass to my lips
I look at you and sigh ...'
