I sang a song and no one heard it
did I even make a sound?
the wailing sirens seem so distant
as my body hits the ground
and there you are when my eyelids close
such a surreal and perfect display
and my life flashes before my eyes
but you are all I see
"breath! God dammit! breath!"
the man is trying to say
"what did he take?!" he yells it you
but your mouth is frozen that way
and now I'm dead, but you don't cry
you don't make the slightest sound
the corners of your lips cringe into a smile
as my body hits the ground
did I even make a sound?

The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.
I write down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook. But in the long tresses of your hair--I am a babbling brook.

Interesting way to express a poet's feelings... when it seems no one is feeling their words...
Side note: I've written some interesting poems under the influence Live the life you dream Live the life you dream
