the past hurts sometimes, all the time

right now I'm alone
and the all-too-familiar panic
starts in my heart,
and goes all the way around
these thoughts won't leave
my labryinth of a mind
I remember the things I used to do
to avoid having to think about you
dying eight hours a day
for $80 I'd only drink away
trying to find a way
to score a hit
with some new trick
and my outlaw past is seeping in mind
sure its all gone now
but I'm alone
and my self-destructive thoughts
are hell-bent on dying
and the all-too-familiar panic
starts in my heart,
and goes all the way around
these thoughts won't leave
my labryinth of a mind
I remember the things I used to do
to avoid having to think about you
dying eight hours a day
for $80 I'd only drink away
trying to find a way

sure its all gone now
but I'm alone

are hell-bent on dying
The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.
I write down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook. But in the long tresses of your hair--I am a babbling brook.
