If I post a short story?

This is a prose section too. So if I posted the 17 page short story that I wrote, would anyone bother reading it? I don't want to post it if it will be a waste of time, but if people actually wanted to read and enjoy it, I'll make a new thread.
The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.

I write down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook. But in the long tresses of your hair--I am a babbling brook.

    well, I'll post it. It's just that most people won't read something that long

    though it won't be 17 pages once its not double spaced.

    I'll probably read it sometime this weekend, although I haven't read Groovey's latest yet......still gotta read that.....heh
    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......
